# India reports 93,249 new cases from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, which is the highest single-day number of daily cases since September 21. It brings the nationwide total of confirmed cases to 12.48 million. 

The number of active Covid-19 cases registered a steady increase for the 25th consecutive day as the tally went up to 691,597.
