# Malta announces that starting from July 14, they will become the first country in Europe to close its borders to unvaccinated travellers with only those in possession of a Maltese, British or European vaccination certificate will be allowed to enter following the spike in COVID-19 cases. 

Malta said Friday it would be the first European country to close its borders to anyone who has not been fully vaccinated against coronavirus, following a spike in Covid-19 cases.
