# Taliban insurgents capture the border town of Torghundi on the border with Turkmenistan as Afghan security forces collapse in Herat. The Interior Ministry says troops had been "temporarily relocated" and efforts were underway to recapture the border crossing. 

After seizing Islam Qala on Iran frontier, Taliban insurgents capture crucial Torghundi border port on Afghanistan-Turkmenistan border as government says efforts to recapture the crossings are ongoing.
