# Five high-ranking army and several police officials are arrested in Madagascar in connection with a failed attempt to kill the country's president, bringing the number of people arrested in connection to the plot to 21. 

The thwarted attempt to kill President Andry Rajoelina is the latest turmoil to strike the island nation.
