# Marcell Jacobs wins Italy's first gold medal in the men's 100 metre dash event, surpassing former Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt. 

Jacobs topped America's Fred Kerley and Canada's Andre DeGrasse with a time of 9.80 seconds.
