# A video emerges on social media of an alleged Russian soldier castrating a Ukrainian prisoner of war in the town of Sievierodonetsk, Donetsk Oblast. The video has not been independently verified. The Ukrainian government voices outrage over the incident and vows retaliation against the perpetrators. 

Russia says dozens of prisoners were killed in the shelling of a prison in separatist-held Donetsk.
