# The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) human rights violation monitoring organization reports that thousands of Syrian civilians are still missing following sectarian reprisal massacres committed by Syrian government-affiliated forces that killed at least 1,614 coastal Syrian civilians, including many Alawites and Christians.
