A suicide bombing at an Awami National Party campaign rally in Peshawar kills twelve people, including the provincial assembly candidate, Haroon Bilour, and wounds 35. Bilour was the son of Bashir Ahmad Bilour, who was also assassinated by a bomber in 2012.
Two separate bombings take place in Pakistan, killing at least seven people. A suicide bomber kills five people at the administrative headquarters in the Mohmand Agency tribal district while the other kills two people at a hospital in Peshawar. Jamaat-ul-Ahrar claims responsibility for the first attack.
Taliban gunmen storm one of the military-run Army Public Schools in the Pakistani city of Peshawar, killing at least 141, including 132 children and nine employees, with most of five hundred students evacuated.
