The Tunisian Armed Forces launch air strikes on Islamist militants near the Algerian border.
Police in Tunisia arrest a lawmaker and a TV presenter for calling president Kais Saied a traitor over his seizure of power in July. The arrests were ordered by the military judiciary for "conspiring against state security and insulting the army".
Tunisian President Kais Saied sacks Mohamed al-Dahach as head of the national television network and installs a temporary replacement, following an incident in the afternoon when al-Dahach forbade a group of journalists and human rights advocates from appearing on a show allegedly on orders from the military.
At least 14 Tunisian soldiers are reportedly killed following Islamist militant attacks at two checkpoints near the Algerian border with at least 20 others wounded, a group called the Okba Ben Nafaa Brigade has claimed responsibility.
