The United States Department of Commerce adds 24 Chinese state-owned enterprises to its "entity list", restricting the access of these enterprises to U.S. goods and content. U.S. Secretary of StateMike Pompeo claims that these enterprises are involved in China's expansion and militarization efforts in the disputed regions of the South China Sea.
