Amid an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, the French overseas territory of Réunion enters a two-week partial lockdown which restricts the movement of people to 10 km during the day and 5 km on Sunday as well as closing all cafés, restaurants and gyms. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announces that a curfew will be implemented between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m local time and orders restaurants and bars to close. Meanwhile, the curfew also prohibits gatherings of more than ten people, reintroduces online learning for high schools and universities, and sports events will be held only behind closed doors. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis declares a one-month partial lockdown in Athens and other major cities beginning next week. Under the rules, restaurants, bars and gyms would be closed beginning November 3. However, in contrast to the first lockdown, travel within the country will not be affected and schools and shops will remain open.
