Mexico–United States relations

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security officially terminates the Trump-era "Remain in Mexico" policy, which mandated that all asylum seekers from Central America were to wait in Mexico pending their court cases. However, a health order from March 2020 allowing for border authorities to send migrants back for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic remains in place.
