Hong Kong national security law
The pro-democracy tabloid "Apple Daily" ceases its activities due to the national security law and after five of its top executives as well as its founder Jimmy Lai were arrested for violating that law. Thousands of Hong Kong residents purchase the tabloid's final edition and a million copies were printed as critics say that a different era begins for Hong Kong given the unapologetic gesture of the Hong Kong government regarding the closure of the tabloid.
