Social media platform TikTok suspends its services in the United States to comply with the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act after its owner ByteDance failed to sell its U.S. operations before January 19. However, despite the ban on TikTok, ByteDance later restores TikTok services in the United States, after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump stated that he would issue an executive order on Monday to delay the implementation of the ban.
