São Paulo State governor João Doria has asked health regulator Anvisa for approval to use COVID-19 vaccine CoronaVac, a major step in what could be one of the first vaccination programs in the Americas. Sao Paulo, was one of the first sites of Phase III clinical trials for the Sinovac back in late July. Doria said he plans to begin inoculating the population of Sao Paulo by mid-December, one of the world’s most aggressive timelines.
