Police in Hong Kong arrest five executives of the "Apple Daily" newspaper as the newspaper warns that press freedom in the city is "hanging by a thread". After being presented with evidence, the defendants will be able to enter a plea before the case is moved to the High Court. The United States Department of Commerce adds 24 Chinese state-owned enterprises to its "entity list", restricting the access of these enterprises to U.S. goods and content.
