2021 Madagascar food crisis

President of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina visits the famine-hit southern region of the country and promises the prompt inauguration of a water pipeline from the Efaho River to the Ambovombe districts after the allocation of 322 million euros of a loan requested from the International Monetary Fund. Rajoelina also promises more food aid to those affected by the disaster.
