- The Therapeutic Goods Administration grant provisional approval to use of two COVID-19 drugs that can be used to reduce the risk of hospitalisation and death, namely Paxlovid made by Pfizer, and Molnupiravir made by Merck & Co.. They are the first two drugs approved in Australia.
